Abraham Ramirez is a PhD. Candidate in the Department of Ethnic Studies and the Program in Critical Theory. His dissertation is on ethics, decolonial consciousness and the philosophy of race in the work of W.E.B. Du Bois, Enrique Dussel, and Paulo Freire. Abraham is currently a Chancellor’s Public Fellow with the American Cultures Engaged Scholarship (ACES), and a Graduate Student in Residence at the Institute for the Study of Societal Issues (ISSI).
